No Man Knows The Day or The Hour?
Updated: Nov 15, 2019
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a battle cry, with a call from one of the ruling angels, and with God’s shofar (trumpet); those who died united with the Messiah will be the first to rise (1 Thessalonians:4:16)
Can you imagine a wedding being planned where the bride never shows up to the rehearsals? She wouldn’t know what time things are taking place, what to wear, who has been invited, the location, etc. How much more important is it for the Bride of Messiah to show up to her rehearsals? That is why The LORD gave us (Jew & Gentile Exodus 12:49) His Holy Days so that The Bride would be prepared and ready, knowing the seasons and appointed times that have been established by The King.
They show us The Messiah as Mashiach Ben Yosef -The Suffering Servant in the Spring Feasts and when He returns (fulfilling the Fall Feasts) as Mashiach Ben David -The Conquering King. Yom Teruah reminds us that the Day of Atonement aka Judgment Day is near. Yom Teruah is also known as Rosh Hashannah (the New Year) although the biblical New Year is in Aviv which is when Passover occurs. This is a rehearsal for us to be repentant while ironing out the spots and wrinkles of false teachings and false doctrines as you prepare for the day when you will stand before the Righteous Judge.
"Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. But be sure of this, that IF the head of the house HAD KNOWN at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the ALERT and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. So you also must BE READY, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” Mathew 24:43-44
Yeshua taught on the prophetic significance of the Feast of Trumpets when asked about what would happen in the future and did you notice that He said IF the head of the house had known he wouldn’t have been caught by surprise. Paul writes to the Thessalonians reiterating what Yeshua said; that as believers we should not be caught by surprise when The Messiah comes.
"But of the times and the seasons, (Moedim – appointed times) brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, ARE NOT IN DARKNESS, that The DAY SHALL TAKE YOU BY SURPRISE as a thief. 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
Another name for the Feast of Trumpets is No Man Knows the Day of the Hour according to historical 1st-century records. It is called this because no one knows when the first sighting of the new moon will be. This is how time was kept according to Scripture. Even our best technology today can’t tell us exactly when that moment will be! Even though we know that He will return on Feast of Trumpets with a blast of His shofar, we do not know what time or what year.
The Deceiver has robbed the Bride of Messiah from the rich blessings of The Lord’s Holy Days ever since Roman Emperor Constantine birthed modern-day Christianity. The Bride of Messiah is awakening and realizing that she has been robbed for over 1700 years and she is reclaiming what rightfully belongs to her by decree of the wedding contract given at Mount Sinai. This is a prophetic move of The Creator as time grows shorter.
Ezekiel 36:26-27 "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. I will remove your stony heart from your body and replace it with a living one, 27 and I will give you my spirit so that you may walk according to my regulations and carefully observe my laws."
As promised by YHVH in the New Covenant; the Holy Spirit will guide His Bride back to walking in His ways. The spots and wrinkles of false teaching and doctrines will be removed and ironed out of her wedding dress as the sanctification process continues. The Bride is awakening to the beauty and understanding of Creator's eternal covenant, His appointed times and she is saying YES to God’s Feast Days and saying NO to the deceivers Beast Days. HalleluYah!
