Soulish Praise
Updated: Jul 19, 2019

Every been told that your praise is too soulish? Too emotional? Well, it's Biblical to bless & praise Him with your soul! Theologians will tell you that your soul is your mind, will and EMOTIONS.
Psalm 103:1-2 reads, "By David: Bless ADONAI, my soul! Everything in me, bless his holy name! Bless ADONAI, my soul, and forget none of his benefits!"
Yeshua tells us greatest commandment is found in the Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4-5): "Sh'ma, Yisra'el! YHWH Eloheinu, YHWH echad [Hear, Isra'el! YHWH our God, YHWH is one]; and you are to love YHWH your God with all your heart, all your being and all your resources." Well, that last word is translated in several different ways.
That's because there's really not an adequate word in the English language with which to compare it. Sometimes, it's rendered as "strength" other times "being" or "might." The word in Hebrew is "modecha" and the closest thing my Hebrew teacher describes it as is "your muchness." Well, that's pretty much everything you have... And that, my friend, includes your emotions.
So, praise Him and love Him with everything you've got because He is worthy of nothing less than our ALL!
