Description by Instructors Billy Jensen & Check Freedman:

This course is nearest and dearest to our hearts. This is the core and the essence of what we do. In this course, you will learn the psychology of captivity and survival, becoming a hard target, situational awareness, blending into the baseline, self-defense from a weakened state, intelligence gathering, protecting your assets, escape from restraints and facilities, evasion from recapture, acting and compliance with the authorities, repatriation and much more.

INSTRUCTORS:

Check Freedman is the Chief Operations Officer of Captive Audience Prevention Training and Recovery Team. Check comes with decades of operational experience including Executive Protection of clients in overseas locations, surveillance, counter surveillance, survival, evasion, resistance, escape, armed and unarmed combat. Check holds Black Belt and/or instructor rank in eleven Martial Arts styles and is currently training in her fourteenth style. Check is a Technical Scuba Diver, a Multi-Engine Instrument Pilot, Crisis Hostage Negotiator, Private Investigator, Private Detective, Certified Missing and Exploited Child Investigator, Locksmith, Author, Critical Incident Stress Debriefer, Emergency Medical Response Instructor, Search and Rescue Ground Team Leader, Technical Writer, and Facility/Personnel/Travel Security Specialist. Check is currently the NHQ, Senior Program Manager for Critical Incident Stress Management and Resiliency for the United States Air Force Auxiliary (Civil Air Patrol).

Billy Jensen CEO of Captive Audience Prevention Training and Recovery Team was honorably retired from the United States Army in 2013 and continued to work as a deployable defense contractor (Irregular Warfare Analyst) until 2018. Billy served the last thirteen years of his career in the Army in US Army Special Forces (Green Berets) and his five years as a contractor supporting Special Operations Forces. Billy has spent over half of the past seventeen years deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan and other crisis areas of the world. Billy holds a Masters in Arts in Diplomacy and a Bachelor of Science in Strategic Studies and Defense Analysis (Suma Cum Laude) from Norwich University in Northfield Vermont. Billy is also a Private Investigator, Certified Missing and Exploited Child Investigator, a trained Crisis (Hostage) Negotiator, and is a Critical Incident Stress Debriefer. Billy is well versed in Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape, and has over a decade of experience directly working to bring people home from captivity.

Registration is required. Due to limited space, trainees must commit to attend the entire three-day course. Certificates of completion will be given to individuals completing the class with full attendance. This is part two of a two-part course, the latter half being scheduled for June 12-13, 2021.
