Advocacy

FireKeepers International (FKI) advocates for people groups historically targeted by terrorism and displacement—raising awareness of current threats and promoting understanding among Native Americans, Christians, Jews, and recently - Druze.

FKI has cultivated mutual respect, friendship, and collaboration with Jewish communities—both in the diaspora and throughout Israel—as well as with tribal nations and Christian partners. Through two decades of sustained cultural diplomacy and engagement the RiverWinds serve as respectful tribal allies who affirm the Jewish people’s indigenous connection to their ancestral homeland and support Israel’s right to security and self-determination.

FireKeepers International is committed to helping preserve First Nations and Appalachian heritage life skills through public education in efforts to revitalize and safeguard indigenous and family homesteading traditions.

This includes but is not limited to teaching heritage life skills - natural medicine and foraging, living and surviving off the land, sustainable food production, and more.

During disaster times, we provide aid and relief as experienced and trained disaster relief workers.

During non-emergency times, FireKeepers International aids in recovery from traumatic events, building hope, provided much-needed encouragement, and connecting people with counseling resources.

Born from lived experience—including Dr. RiverWind’s survival of multiple murder and kidnapping attempts and the harrowing hostage trauma endured by three family members—The Good Medicine Experience offers communities practical, emotional, and strategic support. Developed under rabbinic oversight this experience includes Native ceremonies and blends the arts, meditation, storytelling, and heritage life skills to normalize difficult topics through meaningful cultural exchange. The lasting result is a multi-ethnic pathway to renewed resilience, understanding, healing, hope, and serenity.
