The Green Mile! (Friday)

• Part A: We will kick off the weekened by learning about microgreens, why they should be part of our lives, and how to start our own sprouting gardens when instructor Wendy Jackson imparts her knowledge from vast amounts of experience in this field! Bring your non-GMO, heirloom seeds for swapping!
• Part B: Who isn't guilty? It's just so easy to pull through that drive-thru and get some artery-clogging meal on the run. But eating healthy on the road doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. With minimal preparation and cost, you can feed yourself and your family nourishing foods while traveling. Wendy takes the guesswork out of it by sharing her best mobile kitchen practices, leak-proof solutions, powerless cooking, and more!

A Day of Rest (Saturday)

• We will gather in the afternoon to host a drum circle, the RiverWinds will do a spiritual teaching, and we will have a potluck dinner! (Bring a dish to share!)

I'm Gonna Tan Your Hide! (Sunday-Tuesday)

• No, not that hide! Deer Hides! Join Mary Elizabeth Williams as she teaches us in just three days how to brain tan deer hides into buckskin. The process is one that takes weeks, however in this class, hides that are in various stages of the process are brought and worked on so you can see each step during the course. The old adage says that every animal has enough brains to tan its own hide. This process is done in the natural wet method and without chemicals. No need to bring your own hide (although you can bring one to start, if you have an untanned hide.) You will actually tan one of Mary Elizabeth's hides. For an additional fee, you can even take a hide home with you. Some hides will be donated to Firekeepers International. Learn to tan the old way and take your regalia (or really cool apocalypse outfit) to the next level. 

The Great Cover Up (Wednesday)

• After first aid, the most important thing in servival is shelter. Building a quality lean-to and getting yourself covered from the elements is key to avoiding the #4 (or #3, depending on the time of year) cause of death in the wilderness (after falling, drowing, and heart attack). Learn how to stay warm with a well-built shelter and other little tips for more comfortable sleeping and additional warmth. As a special project, we will also be constructing a wigwam on FireKeepers International's new property! Come and be a part of an epic moment in the history of our land!
