Healing Food: Zinc

Health Nugget:

You probably already knew that Zinc may shorten symptoms of a common cold.

Oatmeal, beans, yogurt, wild rice, and pumpkin seeds are great sources of zinc. Adult males need about 11 mg per day and adult females about 8mg.  Dark Chocolate will provide about 3 mg.  So, enjoy a little dark chocolate and fight your cold with pumpkin seeds and handwashing.
